Gamba, Battista Giovanni

 Giovanni Battista Gamba (1846-?)

 Gamba studied at the Accademia di Belle Arte in Milan.
He is one of the most highly-regarded sculptors of the Nineteenth Century.
In 1877 he exhibited a marble "La Vendemmia" in Naples and had further
exhibitions in Rome (1883) and Milan (1881).
He was commissioned for works at palaces in Bergamo, Rome and Nice.
